    This contribution presents a refined mathematical model tailored for general loading of polycrystalline NiTi SMA, which joins the influence of stress and temperature on transformation, captures anisotropy and asymmetry of response with respect to tension/compression and allows intermediate transformati on via R-phase. The model provides both macroscopic response and detailed information on internal phase composition, which can be compared with experimental data acquired by synchrotron X-ray tomography.
