Electron paramagnetic resonance investigation of Ce3+, Er3+, Nd3+ impurity centers in Y0.7Lu0.3AlO3 single crystals
Original language description
Approximately mirror disposition of the satellite EPR lines with regard to the strongest Ce3+ central line in the YLuAP allowed us to consider them as doublets, produced by the Ce3+?Ce3+ coupled ions. The simultaneous presence of two cations Y3+ and Lu3+, bring variations into the local ligand arrangements causing different crystal field strength at each Ce3+ location in the host. As a result, the corresponding g-tensors and principal axes orientations at either site are somewhat different. The presenceof Er3+ and Nd3+ impurity ions was revealed as well.
