Crystal structure of Fe2(AsO4)(HAsO4)(OH)(H2O)3, a dehydration product of kaňkite

  • Original language description

We report the crystal structure of a dehydration product of the mineral kaňkite (FeAsO4 3.5H2O). The structure was solved and refined by precession electron diffraction tomography. Initially, we believed that we solved the structure of kaňkite; this mineral, however, decomposes in vacuum to Fe2 (AsO4)(HAsO4 )(OH)(H2O)3 (= FeAsO4 2H2O).
