The influence of selected nanomaterials on microorganisms
Original language description
This study focuses on the interaction of selected types of nanomaterials with different gram-positive and gram-negativenbacteria, filamentous fungi, and yeasts. Tested nanomaterials were on carbon base–nanodiamonds, carbon nanotubes, and graphene oxide. The results show antimicrobial effect of carbon nanotubes or graphene oxide on gram-positive bacteria. The inhibitory effect depended on the mode of interaction between cells and tested nanomaterial. A mutagenic activity of tested nanomaterials was found for the boron doped diamond powder with nominal size of the particles 500 nm in two highest concentrations.n
