Imaging plates (IPs) are often used to detect electrons in a wide variety of laser plasma experiments. Typical diagnostics which use IPs to detect electrons include magnetic spectrometers 1electron radiography, 2 and gamma-ray detectors. 3,4 Such diagnostics are of fundamental importance in experiments on charge particle acceleration, laboratory astrophysics, inertial fusion, and high intensity laser matter interaction
