Pressure-induced quantum phase transition in the itinerant ferromagnet UCoGa
Original language description
The work is focused on probing the expected ferro- to paramagnetic quantum phase transition induced by high pressure in UCoGa. The collinear ferromagnetic ordering of UCoGa below the Curie temperature 48 K was observed up to pressure 6 GPa. A sharp drop of magnetic moment and a sudden disappearance of the magnetic order was detected at pressure 6.5 GPa, suggesting the first-order phase transition. The tricritical point of the UCoGa phase diagram lies at approximately 30 K and 6 GPa.n
