Symmetry guide to chiroaxial transitions
Original language description
The 212 species of structural phase transitions with macroscopic symmetry breaking are inspected with respect to the occurrence of a ´chiroaxial´ order parameter. In total, 105 chiroaxial species are found and categorized as 93 full chiroaxial and 12 partial chiroaxial transitions. Among others, the resulting classification can be used for searching prospective Bloch-skyrmion host materials in which the magnetic skyrmion textures can be manipulated by switching the macroscopic structural domains.
