    Two novel transition metal coumarin complexes 'trans-di-aqua-bis (3-acetyl-4-hydroxy-2H-chromen-2-one) Co (II) dihydrate’(hydco) of the formula C22H14CoO8.4(H2O) and 'trans-di-ethanol-bis (3-acetyl-4-hydroxy-2H-chromen-2-one) Co (II)' (nonhydco) of the formula C22H14CoO80.2 (C2H6O) were syn-thesized and their structures were characterized by different spectroscopic methods (IR, UV-VIS andfluorescence). Crystal structures of mentioned compounds were solved either from single-crystal at T=120 K or from powder diffraction data.
