Unusual dynamics of the ferroelectric phase transition in K1-xLixTaO3 crystals
Original language description
K1-xLixTaO3 (x = 0.043, 0.08) crystals, characterized by the pyroelectric current with calculated spontaneous polarization and zero-field second-harmonic generation, have been studied by broad-band dielectric spectroscopy including the time-domain terahertz transmission and infrared reflectivity and by the polarized Raman spectroscopy in the 10–300 K temperature range. This multi-experimental approach has proven the percolative nature of the ferroelectric transition at low temperatures and demonstrated that the ferroelectric phase is inherently inhomogeneous and displays coexistence of ferroelectric and relaxor regions.
