Near-infrared emission in Ho3+-doped Yb3Ga5O12 garnet nanocrystals
Original language description
The single-phase Ho3+-doped Yb3Ga5O12 nanocrystals with 0.01, 0.1, 0.5, 1 and 2 at.% Ho3+ were synthesized by the sol-gel combustion technique using citric acid. The PL results show that the Ho3+-doped Yb3Ga5O12 nanocrystals are promising materials for the near-infrared emission. The potential applications of the studied garnets include biological imaging, gas sensing and infrared radiation detecting.
