Original language description
After definition and discussion of the symmetry and basic properties of the linear complex dielectric susceptibility and permittivity tensors in crystals, their main possible types of frequency dispersions up to the visible range are described. Then various material types with pronounced dielectric properties (ferroelectrics, relaxors, dielectric- conductor composites) are briefly discussed.
