    Thermal plasma gasification is a technology that utilizes high-temperature plasma to convert organic and ninorganic materials into synthesis gas (syngas) and slag. There are several possibilities how produce thermal nplasma. An argon-water arc plasma torch and a microwave plasma torch are utilized for these purposes at the nInstitute of Plasma Physics, and their characteristics have been compared.
