In this paper the solubility of samarium in Ge30-Ga5-Se65 glasswas determined and results of analysis of some optical propertiesof this glass are presented. On the basic of Judd-Ofelt analysisare discessed the reactive properties of Sm3+ ions in the NIRspectral region.
