The paper summarises first results of the project focused on the comparison of the pollutant concentration in the fog (low cloud) water from two regions of the Czech Republicwith different atmospheric load. The samples of the fog (cloud) water were collected at the mountain observatories Milesovka and Churanov. Conductivity, acidity (pH), cations H+, Na+, K+, NH4+, Mg2+, Ca2+, anions F-, Cl-, NO3-, SO42- and metals Pb, Cd and Cu were determined in the samples. The subject of comparison are the mean value of pollutant concentration, concentration values in dependence on the wind direction as well as on the sector the air (and consequently also the pollutants) was transported from. In addition the composition of rime water as compared with fog water at the Milesovka Mt. was investigated.
