Propagation effects due to atmospheric gases and clouds.
Original language description
In this chapter the models of the main propagation effects due to oxygen, water vapour and atmospheric clouds, are described. The discussion is mainly focused on gaseous and cloud attenuation but models for the atmospheric sky noise and the propagation path delay are also shown. The chapter is completed by the comparison of some of the presented models with experimental data. The annex describes a database of clear air propagation parameters derived from a world-wide database of radiosonde meteorological measurements.
