  • Original language description

    Z-pinch instabilities with axial magnetic field have been studied using three-dimensional (3D) hybrid (Particle in Cell/Fluid) simulations. The hybrid simulations permit the evaluation of the combined effect of axial magnetic field and the Hall term on the azimutal mode number m=0 sausage and m=1 kink instabilities. The simulations have been carried out with Bennet equilibrium profiles.
