Trends in laminae in ozone profiles in relation to trends in some other middle atmospheric parameters

Original language description

Ozone profiles measured by ozonesondes often exhibit relatively narrow layers of significantly enhanced ozone concentration, called positive laminae. At northern middle latitudes, the overall ozone content in laminae per profile reveals a strong negativetrend since the late 1960s till the early 1990s. The trend changes to a pronounced positive trend around the mid-1990s. The trend in total ozone at northern middle latitudes also changes in the mid-1990s from negative to positive. This change of trend is more probably of dynamical than chemical origin. Zonal winds in the upper middle atmosphere near 52oN reveal a change of trend in the 1990s, as well. This indicates possibility that the overall Northern Hemisphere middle atmosphere dynamics could experience a change in long-term trends in the 1990s.

Trendy v laminách ozónových profilů ve vztahu k trendům v některých jiných parametrech střední atmosféry

Czech description

Ozónové profily měřené ozonosondami často vykazují relativně úzké vrstvy podstatně zvýšené koncentrace ozónu, zvané kladné laminy. Ve středních šířkách severní polokoule byl trend v celkovém obsahu ozónu v laminách na profil záporný a silný od konce šedesátých do začátku devadesátých let minulého století, pak se v polovině devadesátých let změnil na silný kladný trend. Obdobná změna proběhla též v celkovém ozónu (je pravděpodobně dynamického, ne slunečního původu) a v zonální složce větru v horní střední atmosféře poblíž 52oN. To ukazuje na možnost, že dynamika celé střední atmosféry na severní polokouli změnila v polovině devadesátých let dlouhodobý trend.
