Satellite Control and Telemetry station Panska Ves is a part of the ionospheric observatory of the Institute of Atmospheric Physics ASCR and is located about 60km north of Prague. It was founded in 1967 for the INTERCOSMOS program. It participated in a wide range of space projects such as ACTIVE, APEX and INTERBALL. Panska Ves was the only tele-command and telemetry (TC/TM) station for the five Czech satellites MAGION and for the satellite MIMOSA. The station is continuously upgraded and equipped with the state of art technology. Configuration of the TC/TM station is flexible and can be easily modified according to requirements of a new satellite mission. The Panska Ves ground station is an example of small efficient and flexible station suitable mainly for scientific and low-cost projects. It demonstrates usefulness of such a station operated by a research institute involved in space research.

Czech description

Družicová telemetrická a řídící stanice Panská Ves je součástí Ústavu fyziky atmosféry AVČR a nachází se zhruba 60km severně od Prahy. Byla založena v roce 1967 pro program INTERKOSMOS a účastnila se řady vědeckých projektů jako např. ACTIVE, APEX a INTERBALL. Byla jedinou telemetrickou a řídící stanicí pro všech pět družic MAGION a družici MIMOSA. Stanice se průběžně modernizuje a vybavuje moderními přístroji. Konfigurace stanice umožňuje pružně reagovat na potřeby nových projektů. Stanice v Panské Vsije příkladem malé pozemní stanice vhodné zejména pro řízení a sběr dat z vědeckých družic a nízkonákladových projektů. Její výsledky dokládají užitečnost spojení stanice tohoto typu a vědeckého ústavu zapojeného do výzkumu vesmíru
