Impact of assimilation of radar and satellite data on numerical forecast of heavy precipitation
Original language description
In this contribution radar and satellite data are assimilated into the COSMO NWP model, which is run with a high horizontal resolution. Our current results confirm that assimilation of radar and satellite data can influence and improve forecasts of convective precipitation for lead times from 3 to 5 hours.
