Impact of Fog and Wind on FSO Link Attenuation - Quick Experimental Results
Original language description
In this study we focus on the dependence of FSO link attenuation on fog and on the wind characteristics or parameters (fog attenuation was excluded). Two 3D sonic anemometers were installed near to our test FSO link, the first one at the receiver site and the second one at the transmitter site at the Milesovka hill, site of our experimental observatory. We show that the wind speed is lowest at noon while maxima are reached close to midnight. Secondly, we show the dependence of turbulent energy on FSO ling attenuation and Pearson?s correlation coefficients between wind characteristics and FSO link attenuation.
