Owing to its position on the top of a conical mountain and to frequent occurrence of fog, observatory Milešovka is a convenient site for special measurements of conditions within the fog or low-level clouds. Observatory Milešovka, operated by the Institute of Atmospheric Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, is joining European ACTRIS (Aerosol, Clouds and Trace gases Research InfraStructure), particularly its topical section Cloud In Situ Measurements. New instruments will be purchased and the research will be focused on the atmospheric aerosol – cloud interaction.
