    In 1997 and 1998 an original special experimental equipment for research of lateral pressures against retaining wall was designed and developed including bicomponent tensors. The paper presents information about the first experiment E1 and shows the origin of slip surfaces due to three types of retaining wall movements during the experiment. Finally, the paper presents measured pressure.
