The paper presents the results of physical and numerical experiments (E3/0+2, N3/0+2) both with the passive pressure and the pressure at rest of the ideally non-cohesive sand on a retaining wall rotated about the top. The numerical experiment repeats thephysical experiment. The results are analysed and compared according to relevant requirements and recommendations of the final draft of EC 7-1 and ČSN 73 0037. The comparizon of actual behaviour of soil mass leads to a conclusion the standard theoretical base is not in accordance to real mass behaviour.

Příspěvek předkládá analýzu výsledků fyzikálního (E3/0+2) a numerického experimentu (N3/0+2) s pasivním tlakem a tlakem v klidu ideálně sypkého písku na stěnu otáčející se kolem vrcholu směrem do tělesa. Numerický experiment opakoval experiment fyzikální. Výsledky jsou nanlyzovány a porovnány s odpovídajícími požadavky a doporučeními EC7-1 a ČSN 73 0037. Srovnání skutečného chování zemního tělesa a teoretické báze norem vede k závěru, že teoretický základ předpisů neodpovídá skutečnému chování těles.
