Proceedings of the 7th European Conference on Cultural Heritage Research held in Prague from May 31st till June 3rd, 2006, with support from the European Commission. The book summarizes the achievements and assesses the impact of EU research projects related to the movable and immovable cultural heritage and historic settlements. Emphasis is put on exploiting and extending the results of research on the cultural heritage, and on testing the acceptability of new approaches to sustainability and new technologies. It addresses the user community, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), owners, managers, restorers and conservationists of the cultural heritage.

Sborník příspěvků přednesených na 7. Evropské konferenci o výzkumu kulturního dědictví, konané v Praze ve dnech 31.května až 3.června, 2006 a podporované grantem Evropské komise v rámci 6.rámcového programu rozvoje výzkumu a technologií. Kniha shrnuje výsledky a hodnotí dopady evropských výzkumných projektů v oblasti movitého a nemovitého kulturního dědictví a historických sídel. Důraz je položen na využití a rozšíření výsledků výzkumu kulturního dědictví a na ověření přijatelnosti nových přístupů k udržitelnosti památek i nových technologií. Obrací se na všechny aktéry v oblasti využívání i ochrany kulturního dědictví, definuje roli výzkumu kulturního dědictví v mezinárodním kontextu, ve vztahu k politice i k rozvoji infrastruktury. I.díl shrnuje ústní prezentace.
