Modeling of Trabecular Bone as Hierarchical Material Using Micro-CT Imaging and Nanoindentation
Original language description
In this work microfocus X-ray computed tomography is used to reconstruct the structure of trabecular bone sample to develop a FEM model of high-resolution. Material properties used in the FEM model are obtained from nanoindentation experiments. Plasticity model with isotropic hardening is used with tissue yield stress set according to results from mechanical testing of cylindrical specimens.
