The book presents a review of modern methods for non-destructive or medium destructive survey and testing of historic timber and masonry structures. Special attention is devoted to small size non-standard specimen testing, ultrasonic methods, x-ray survey and tomogrpahy, image analysis, thermography, sclerometric methods and innovative methods. The presented methods are developed under different grant supports in Czech Republic, USA, Germany, Italy, Portugal and Slovakia

Czech description
Kniha uvádí přehled moderních metod nedestruktivního či šetrného destruktivního průzkumu a zkoušení historických dřevěných a zděných konstrukcí. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována zkoušení materiálových charakteristik na malých nestandardních vzorcích, ultrazvuku, rentgenovému průzkumu i tomografii, obrazové analýze, termografii, sklerometrickým metodám a dalším inovovaným technikám. Prezentované metody byly vyvinuty v projektech s grantovou podporou v ČR, USA, Německu, Itálii, Slovensku a Portugalsku.
