The paper discusses some important problems of a complex survey of historical timber structures. The achieved results are compared to standard test results and correlated to other physical characteristics.

Czech description
Článek se zabývá komplexním průzkumem historických dřevěných konstrukcí. Jsou uvedeny metody zjišťování technologických stop po nástrojích a po původních povrchových ochranách proti ohni a proti biologickému napadení. Mechanické charakteristiky jsou zkoušeny na malých tělesech nestandardních rozměrů ? milimetrovém jádrovém vývrtu a trojúhelníkové třísce ? odebraných speciálními nástroji. Z nedestruktivních metod je popsána přenosná rentgenografie a měření odporu při mikrovrtání.
