Original language description

The contribution deals with the metalworks used in timber structures. In addition to conventional mechanical fasteners and traditional joints in accordance to craftmanship many new methods of transfering load in timber connections have been developed. The best methods used for the metal works are substantially different and in many cases not matched with the intended field of application. This unsatisfactory situation was the reason for the research, presented in this paper, to elaborate new proposals for test methods for load transfering metalworks in timber engineering.
