Design and Application of Progressive Thin-Walled Steel Members in Civil Engineering
Original language description
Analysis of girders with undulating webs, determination of their design resistance under patch loading and use of such girders in structures like portal frames and crane girders. Analysis of thin-walled roof and wall members (sheeting, purlins and rails), ultimate behaviour of purlins, application of metal sheeting acting as a diaphragm. Analysis of thin-walled trapezoidal corrugation arches and their use for both frame structures and slim floors. Analysis of general problems concerning buckling, shearlag effects, transverse loading and their interaction.
