    A semi-scale device for the analysis of hygrothermal performance of building envelopes in the conditions of difference climate is employed for testing two selected interior thermal insulation systems, namely the brick wall and calcareous marly limestonewall with a newly developed capillary active mineral wool materials MU and DU (Rockwool, SA) as thermal insulation. In the testing process, the thickness of the specimens of building envelopes is the same as in the practical application on building site.The applied exterior climatic data correspond to the reference year data for Munich, Germany, for the interior climate common data for residential houses are chosen. A sophisticated technology for the determination of moisture, relative humidity, capillary pressure, temperature and salinity in the analyzed specimens based on the application of time-domain reflectometry, mini-tensiometry and mini-hygrometry is employed
