Numerical Solution of Viscous Transonic Flows through Turbine Cascades
Original language description
We consider a system of Navier-Stokes equations in 2D. We use two independent numerical methods: a finite volume cell vertex method based on Lax-Wendroff scheme and a finite volume cell centered method based on Roe Riemann solver. For a turbulence modeling we use an algebraic model based on Baldwin-Lomax and Rostand models. We focus on the influence of a grid on the solution, particularly along a profile surface. Then we show on the results, that laminar and transitional parts must be taken into accountfor realistic simulation of transonic flow through turbine cascade.
