This article describes a physical principle of optical methods for noncontact vibration measurement of structures in industrial practice. The paper is focused on full-field techniques, which enable to measure very accurately dynamic changes of the shapeof the tested object, i.e. vibrations, in the chosen area of the object surface. The method of digital speckle interferometry is presented in the article. Some practical schemes for measurement of vibrations are shown together with advantages of these methods in comparison to other methods for measuring of mechanical vibrations
