Explicit Solver for Non-Linear Problems
Original language description
The merits of explicit time integration methods are used in solution of quasistatic nonlinear problems. Displacement controlled dynamic solution is enforced and the load history is optimized for minimum inertia (and possibly damping) forces. The method is suitable in problems with complicated material laws where conventional implicit methods cannot be applied consistently since the tangential material stiffness matrix is too cumbersome to assemble. The accuracy is determined by the solution interval. Inmost applications the alternating runs of this solution with dynamic relaxation runs are necessary to keep the desired accuracy
