Influence of Total Reflection on Imaging Properties of Optical Systems
Original language description
In the case of total reflection on the boundary of two different optical media, a reflected ray is spatially shifted with respect to a point, where the ray intersects the boundary. The light enters the second medium and the evanescent electromagnetic waves propagate along the boundary. The lateral displacement of a reflected ray is the so-called Goos-Hänchen effect. Our work describes the influence of this effect on imaging properties of optical systems
