    During new buildings and reconstructions of tram tracks, vibration absorption mats are still more exerted. The mats are inserted into tram track structure with the aim to reduce an impact of noise and vibration caused by rail transport. Associated phenomenon of inserting of vibration absorption mats is a change in behaviour of tram substructure multi-layer system from view of load-bearing capacity. The article is specialized in comparison of results reached in laboratory conditions and on new building of tram track.
