    Electro-hydraulic Vibration Exciter for Dynamic Tests of Bridges

  • Original language description

    The vibration exciter was developed for the modal analysis of civil engineering structures of very low natural frequencies, vibrating mostly in vertical direction, such as bridges or foundation slabs. The characteristic amplitude of harmonic force for 1Hz frequency is about 5 kN. The vibration exciter can be used for the loading by a random history force, harmonic excitation force of constant frequency, or continuous frequency sweep within a certain frequency band, and repeated pulses. The vibration exciter could be build only on the basis of association of funds provided by several research project and the maximum use of existing facilities.
