In the paper are presented the results of mechanical properties measurements at the cycloolefin copolymers, i.e. the tensile impact strength, the tensile strength, the elongations at break, the Young´s modulus and creep compliance. Mechanical characteristics obtained together with verified biocompatibility of the COC-material seem to be promising for considered applications in human tissues.

Ve stati jsou presentovány výsledky experimentálních měření zaměřených na tahovou (rázovou) pevnost COC, na prodloužení normovaných vzorků COC při poruše, na stanovení modulů pružnosti a na creepové hodnoty. Vzorky COC polymeru byly též verifikovány "invitro": proliferace buněk, diferenciace buněk, jejich apoptoza a další.
