    Application of Hydrophobizers in FGD Gypsum

  • Original language description

    Effect of several hydrophobizers on basic mechanical, hygric and thermal properties of hardened flue gas desulphurization (FGD) gypsum is studied in the paper. The experimental results show that the hydrophobization admixtures ZONYL 9027 and ZONYL 301 have perspectives for further applications. They decrease the apparent moisture diffusivity of FGD gypsum by about two orders of magnitude, which is a very good result.
