This project is solving problem with suspended solids effluent in WWTP Aartselaar on secondary clarifier using 3D mathematical modelling. Wash-out of suspended solids out of secondary clarifiers. There is a serious risk of not reaching the effluent consent for suspended solids of 35 mg/l. To obtain the good function of clarifiers we recommend equipping the secondary clarifiers with sludge level control to avoid the splash out of activated sludge to the recipient during storm event. "Deflector Lermo II"was developed to improve suspended solids wash out from clarifier.
