Hydric and Chloride Solution Transport Properties of Silicate Protecting Layers of Concrete Structures
Original language description
Silicate protecting layers as one of recognized concrete protection measures are considered cheap and effective against water penetration during the whole service life of concrete structure. However, the properties of such protecting layers for differentconcrete substrates are only rarely studied in detail. In this paper, hydric properties of a new silicate protection including water absorption and water vapor diffusion are analyzed. The chloride solution transport and storage properties are studied aswell, and the differences in water and chloride solution transport are discussed.
