Original language description
The high-temperature applications of alkali activated slags are analyzed in the paper. Basic survey of properties of alkali activated aluminosilicate materials measured by various investigators during the last several decades is given. Recent measurements of mechanical, hygric and thermal properties of alkali activated slags comprising the effect of high temperatures are presented. On the basis of new measurements, the possible applications of alkali activated slags in building industry are assessed andthe recommendations for their practical use are given.
