Self-compacting Concrete and Pressures on Formwork
Original language description
The formwork pressures can be reliably measured when sensors are correctly placed and located. The rate of casting is crucial for the amount of the pressure on the formwork, even it is more significant than the concrete consistency. The pressures on theformwork for self-compacting concretes (SCC) are comparable to the pressures for normal (vibrated) concretes (NC) when appropriate rate of casting with shutdowns is applied to allow the air bubbles to escape.
