Modelling of Extreme Floods Passing Through a Reservoir on the Vltava River

The aim of this artikle is to 1) review reservoir characteristics (storage, flooded areas) currently stated in the manual of operating regulations and extend their validity to the level exceeded during the 2002 flood ; 2) compare the presently used method of evaluating the inflow-outflow balance (the input is the hydrostatic water surface) with a method using the hydrodynamic level (the backwater is occurring); 3) assess the reservoir DMT resolution and its influence on output accuracy of the fully hydrodynamic model; 4) determine the extent of the land affected by backwater effect in the reservoir during extreme flood event, 5) propose a methodology for reservoir operation during flood propagation using a system of monitoring sites along the reservoir.

Cílem tohoto článku je 1)kritické zhodnocení charakteristik nádrže Orlík, které jsou aktuálně uvedeny v manipulačním řádu a provedení jejich extrapolace na úroveň povodně 2002, 2) porovnání dvou přístupů stanovení bilančního přítoku do nádrže s využitímstatických a dynamických průběhů hladin, 3) zhodnocení vlivu rozlišení DMT v popisu zdrže na přesnost plně hydrodynamického modelu; 4) určení rozsahu území ovlivněného účinkem zpětného vzdutí v nádrži při povodňové situaci; 5) návrh systému řízení při postupu povodňové vlny a implementace monitorovací sítě do systému
