Boundary Effects Induced by Nonlocal Damage Formulations
Original language description
The purpose of the present contribution is to explore the link between the specific form of the averaging operator and the size and shape of the localized process zone near the boundary. The process zone is characterized by the final distribution of (local) dissipated energy and by an intermediate distribution of the damage-driving variable (equivalent strain).
