Materials used for composites containing timber
Original language description
Traditional materials as concrete and steel still play tha major part in civil engineering. However, these resources are not renewable and material engineer must find new possibilities of materials and their production. The application of timber can be useful in many aspects. Timber is renewable ecological material, which can be used in connection with other materials - artificial fibers and even with concrete and steel. This paper is about material characteristic of material used for composites containing timber, their advantages and disadvantages.
