Developing of new technologies, using of new progressive materials and advanced construction solutions leading to quality improvement of buildings not only in the economical sense, but also in environmental and socio-cultural, represents a huge potentialfor sustainable society development. The population growth, depletion of primary materials, energy and drinking water resources, deterioration off environment (including the consequences of global warming in form of higher frequency of natural disasters) necessarily lead to more intensive search for new environmentally suitable approaches and solutions. The sustainable building offers many opportunities for significant advancement in Central European region. International conference Central Europe towards Sustainable Building - CESB07 will be held in Prague in September 24 - 26, 2007. There will be a chance for comprehensive overview of state of sustainable building in Central European region.
