This study presents a review on the use of mainly human applied tracers in unsaturated zone hydrology. A short description of laboratory and in situ experiments, which were performed with use of dye tracer Brilliant Blue, is given. It is concluded that the data resulting from the tracer experiments are useful for calibration in dualpermeabilitynumerical simulations.
