Original language description
Uhlířská, Jizera Mountains, is a typical watershed with the crystalline bedrock forming Cambisols. It is situated in a humid mountainous region where soils are shallow and highly permeable with preferential pathways. As a result of these facts, outflow caused by storms can be of a quick response and high magnitude. Due to the fact that the behavior of flow of water in the heterogeneous soil profile and hydrogeological structure is not fully understood, quantitative measurements are supplemented by the additional techniques of the tracing of stable oxygen isotope 18O and silica since 2006 in rainfall, wateshed streamflow, subsurface stormflow and soil pore water and shallow groundwater. It is becoming evident that stormwater is composed of high fractionof pre-event water held in soil profile and groundwater aquifer. Porous space of the watershed plays dominant role in initial mixing of the water.
