    Geometrical Modelling of Concrete Microstructure

  • Original language description

The paper deals with the geometrical modelling of concrete containing aggregate particles of realistic shapes. The geometry of particles is derived from a digital voxel-based representation using the spherical harmonic analysis. The individual particlescorrespoding to appropriate grain-size distribution curve are randomly packed into a representative volume. The final model is then discretized into a finite element mesh than can be incorporated into various computational models simulating behaviour ofconcrete.
