In this study, elastic and inelastic properties of cement paste at microlevel were investigated using nanoindentation technique. Special attention was paid to the delayed deformation processes that take place after surface unloading. The aim of the workwas to determine how the material deforms after the load release as a stepping stone for the separation of elastic, viscous and plastic parts of the deformation in the material. Such knowledge is very important for further modeling of nanoindentation andfor accessing of inelastic material properties at cement microlevel.
